Rules Clarification: Embolden & Psychic Tests

When using embolden to reroll psychic tests, does a perils of the warp failure on the first test, that will be rerolled, does the wound still go off or only if the second test is failed?

Im pretty sure it doesnt apply since by the very nature of re-rolling, the roll never occured.
